ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT URGES ITS INDIGENS TO INVEST MORE ON RICE FARMING AS BORDER CLOSURE ISSUE BECOMES MORE SERIOUS
The State's Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Matthew Idu, offered the guidance while talking with newsmen on outskirt conclusion on Tuesday in Enugu. Idu said that the outskirt conclusion would help nearby rice creation, particularly in Uzo-Uwani Nearby Government Area (LGA) of the state. "Since the state joined the FADAMA venture, the government has discovered that around six, out of the 17 LGAs in the state, have arable land for rice development in huge amount. "The state government is, in this way, approaching inhabitants to take part in rice cultivating in those regions with arable land and advisors, who are into preparing on the best way to develop rice, are accessible,'' he said.
